Jam Session!

Sarah (pretty lady from the blog before last) also loves to take pictures, so I've been teaching her a bit of what I learned in my four years of education...yaow! She took these snaps at the house for fun, just messin around. Patrick, Tommy, and Johnny (the other roommate extraordinaire) were having a jam session, and Bruce was a bit under the weather so he was reading. I was making faces.

Expressions

Garage Voice played music for Clean Slate Improv last weekend and afterwords, a few of us got together to eat some late night nastiness at Beth's Diner, one of Seattle's few restaurants open 24 hrs. Being such a large group afforded us the wonderful pleasure of having to wait outside for 30 min to get a table, so in order to help the time pass, we took turns telling stories, and making up games. I pulled out my camera and took snaps. The expressions are priceless! Good times :D

sarah

I've been learning to work in digital since moving to Seattle, although I have to say it is just so that I know how, I will probably always stick to film in some aspect and am looking to purchase another good film camera sometime in the next few months I hope! But I thought that by switching to digital I would be able to output my images more quickly than I did with film, but I have found that the problem is with me and not the format. As often as I have had unscanned film, or scanned files sitting around unfinished, I have just as many digital files doing the same. I shoot all the time, but do nothing with the images, unless I have a deadline. I think I've just been making editing seem harder to me than it is.

So the other day I did a photoshoot with my roommate Sarah, and forced myself to edit them right away. It was refreshing. So hopefully that will start to become a more regular occurance for me. Here are a few of the results...feel free to give me constructive critique, I'm always looking to grow!

. ..

there are times where
i begin to wonder where you
are anymore in my day to days.
where i've left you.
where you're waiting for me
to notice you.

have i slowly become comfortable
living away from you altogether.
giving up life in exchange for
control of it.

living the way i've always been
not looking for what's needed.

do i know you well enough
to know what you are up to.

having a form of godliness but denying the power there in
